Katie Price says she believed a teenage girl who was allegedly raped by her ex-husband was "afraid" after exchanging text messages with her, and that she was "really shocked" to learn of the allegations.
Price's ex-husband Kieran Hayler is on trial accused of three counts of rape and one of sexual assault against the then 13-year-old girl in West Sussex in 2016, all of which he denies.
Giving evidence behind a screen in the courtroom on Monday, Price said that she was told in texts between her and the alleged victim that Hayler "had tried to kiss her" and "had done stuff to her".
She added that when she confronted Hayler about the alleged rape, his "response all the time was 'no I hadn't'".
Asked further about what the girl had told her had happened, Price told jurors: "Definitely a kiss and that he said he loved her."
"I wanted to get information out of [the complainant] because it's serious," she added.
"I could tell that she was, like, afraid."
Price also told the jury that she had used Hayler's fingerprints while he was reportedly intoxicated to access his phone.
Kieran Hayler, 39, denies raping and sexually assaulting the girl in 2016
The trial previously heard that the alleged victim first contacted the NSPCC in 2021 over the allegations, who then referred her to the police, prompting the investigation.
Hayler was married to media personality Price at the time of the allegations, before the couple's relationship broke down in 2018 and they divorced in 2021.
Hayler has suggested his ex-wife "launched a campaign" against him when their marriage ended and the allegations form part of this, the court has heard.
The alleged victim is not part of Hayler or Price's extended families.
The trial continues.
